Day 81: CafePress Review and Giveaway
It’s my turn to spread the CafePress love!
A few weeks ago, CafePress contacted me to see if I would interested in a free shirt for me and one for Abby and if so, they would also offer a set to one of my readers. Of course I said “heck” yeah! I mean I heart free things (I would attend dorm floor meetings in college not b/c I was into being all kumbaya with the floor but b/c there was always free pizza involved) and to be able to pass free things on to my readers is even better.
What I also appreciated about them was the fact that I could tell they totally read my blog b/c they sent me in the direction of English teacher shirts. And that’s when I realized that I had totally looked at said shirts before but could never pick one out b/c they were all so good. But after a day of perusing the English teacher shirts, I settled on one. (And I now realize I’ve set myself up to have the grammar police knocking on my blog’s door, but I’m not perfect so go for it!…and teaching grammar is one of my least favorite parts about being an English teacher, but I feel that said profession makes my brain always akin to spotting grammar mistakes.)
And for Abby I got her one of their organic onesies. And of course I was again overwhelmed with all the choices, but once I saw one that read “My Dad Rocks,” I had to have it. B/c, well, her dad totally rocks and is super into music (we’ve been known to travel cross country to see certain bands play). I’m always drawn to onesies for Abby with sayings about how much she loves her dad b/c, well, if you looked up deadbeat dad in the dictionary, there’s a good chance you would see a picture of mine there. So on a daily basis I am just so amazed at the incredible relationship my hubby has with Abby and if she could speak, I know she would say, “Dada, You Rock!” (Oh, and I got her the 6-12 size and of course it doesn’t fit her yet, so bear had to serve as model for said onesie.)
I’m always afraid of ordering clothes online for me b/c I’m short and curvy and I prefer to try things on. I ordered a medium and it fits perfectly and flatters my curvy figure. I have to say I was pretty impressed with it. And I decided to go for the organic onesie for Abby b/c @lifeasaSAHM seems to seep into my head these days when I’m making purchases for my little peanut, so I’m trying to be a bit more green. And I’m so glad I went with it b/c this organic American Apparel onesie is super soft.
Oh and another super cool thing about CafePress is that you can make personalized gifts…not just shirts…for anything really! I mean look at all the things I could have put my t-shirt logo on:

I like the one for Teva that says “my Mommy is Blogging My Whole Life”. I like the one for me that says “I am so blogging this!”.
or, Mine could say “The Original Sweet Girl”, and one for Teva that says “Sweet Girl”. That’s what DH has always called me, but he’s also passed it along to Teva.
Of course, I follow you!
