Day 142: SQUEEEEEEEE!

***CLOSED***
And the winner is…

Dude, I’m seriously excited for this guest blogger.  And really, I don’t think I would have ever found her if it wasn’t for the tweeting world.  I noticed that a lot of my favorite mommy bloggers who also tweet, kept mentioning this @emmie_bee chick.  So I finally followed…she followed back, and well the rest is history.

Seriously, though, a post that got me super hooked was a post in which she followed suit of another mommy blogger bestie of mine with some unoriginal content.  I then decided that I thought I started to get a sense of who she was and that perhaps we had some common things, and to bite the bullet to ask a question.  It was about musical likes b/c I really feel you can learn a lot about a person based on their music choices.  And then when answering, she named Jeff Buckley, The Decemberists, Radiohead, Van Morrison, The Beatles…and several others.  This is when I seriously knew we must have been friends in another life.  I mean the latter 3 you probably get a bunch of people liking them, but Jeff Buckley and The Decemberists…seriously.  And then there was this little Postal Service ditty.

Some other great things about her is that she’s is purely amazing in that when her oldest son was 4 months old, she discovered she was pregnant…WITH TWINS!  I’m sure it aint easy having 3 little bambinos, but she sure makes it look fun and easy.

So if you don’t know who Emily, from This Is The First Day of My Life is, I suggest you check out these fabulous blog/vlog posts…here and here and here and here.  Then come back and leave a comment suggesting what you would like her to guest blog about next Sunday.  I will use random.org to pick the winner.  And perhaps if we are lucky, she will even do a vlog!

I’d love to know, as a former elementary teacher, how she plans on working with her twins in school. Like will they be in separate classes? How will she handle competing for grades, friends, etc?

Will she dress them alike if they want to do that, or encourage them to dress differently?

And…how would she handle if they switched classes/took each other’s tests if they look similar enough when they’re older? :)

Think ahead 12-15 years. What do you think the relationship between your kids will be like (what do you hope it will be like)? Do you think that Hudson and Truman will both be uber-protective of Sawyer. Will Truman be just like his big brother or polar opposites? Yes I know they are still very little, I just love to imagine what my little one will be like when she’s a teenager.

How does she keep sane? Three small babies, one woman? I’d like to know her secret!

What is her favorite part about being a Mommy? Does she get any sleep?!

Here’s my question (for both of you) with such cool musical tastes what do your kids listen to?
