Day 178: We're Mobile People!

For the longest time, we’ve been on pins and needles, wondering when Abigail would figure out that rolling back and forth was not the easiest way to get from point A to point B.  Well a week ago, she finally figured it out.  It’s not full on crawling…more like scooting or inch worming…but still, she’s moving!  And you know I got it on video.

These shots are taken on day two of being mobile, when the only thing she would move for was the remote control.  You know where your kid’s favorite toy is not a toy at all.  But now, she goes after the dog’s tail.  She will come to us.  She will go just about anywhere, really, to explore.  Luckily for us, it’s a slow movement, so she’s easing us into the fact that we now have to watch her like a hawk.  So here you go…two lovely videos from two angles on day two of her being mobile…

Sawyer has the same onesie. She said to tell Abby: “Homegirl, you’ve got great taste!”

    Wooo hooo!!! Go Abby!

Madison’s favorite toy is the remote too. We have a play remote that she is SO over so we decided to take the batteries out of an old one and let her play with that. No dice. The kid only wants the one that will actually change the TV we are watching. Little bugger.

Aww, I love it when they do that scoot kind of crawl! by the way, what is it about remotes? you can buy toy versions and they still prefer the real thing. Oh, and get ready to pick up every little speck of dust and fuzz from the floor. she will find EVERY ONE.

Aww, she looks like she is swimming across the floor – so cute!!

My little guy first learned to be mobile by scooching backwards on his head – he wore the hair off the back of his noggin, and it was really embarrassing…but funny!
